optreden The Hague Jazz Festival

Zaterdag 12 juni was Motion Unlimited te gast op The Hague Jazz Festival

Wat een beleving om daar rond te lopen en zoveel goede muzikanten te

horen spelen. Mooie en/of stoere concerten heb ik gezien van Peter Beets,

The Allstar Jazz Jam met o.a.Tom Brown en Wayne Henderson,

Kernkoppen, Sanne van Vliet met Eric Ineke op de drums, en lang in een

benauwde situatie in de rij gestaan voor Gino Vannelli, mijn held uit de

jaren 80. Hij kan nog steeds goed zingen en zijn drummer was geweldig,

helaas mij niet bekend wie het was!!.

 

En natuurlijk dan ons eigen optreden van Motion Unlimited.

Veel dank aan PureJazz en de sound technici die met veel geduld het

orkest hebben uitversterkt...is geen makkerlijke opgave als je naar al

die verschillende instrumenten kijkt. Het Filmdoek hing dit keer voor het

orkest en dat zorgde voor een intense filmbeleving.

Toch denk ik dat het publiek het jammer vond dat het orkest niet echt te

zien was... Maar moedig van Ben van den Dungen en Wiboud Burkens om

het uit te proberen.

Op naar het volgende concert!!!

To sing in the Basillica dei Santi Medici in Alberobello
was a wonderfull experience.

Dear visitors, welcome to my site.

I’ve been singing since my childhood. My parents were working in Circus Knie in Switzerland and that is where I was born. Later my father kept working as a drummer in Circus Sarrasani  and so I was lucky to travel a lot with the circus. The artists have learned me a lot and especially how dedicated and serious they were during a 9 months' tour, away from home. After my education at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague I had private lessons in London with Diane Forlano. After having performed in some opera-roles I became the artistic leader of  De Nieuwe Nederlandse Operette, a professional operetta company; it was a huge success.

After having returned into the singing world I widened my repertoire with Wagner, Verdi and Strauss. Amand Hekkers has been a very important  coach in this as my singing teacher.

In 2009 James Dietsch in New York became my new agent. I’m looking forward to my new opera roles in the future.
