CD MURIËL

In 2002 my CD MURIËL was released. All songs are beautiful in their style and gave me lots of pleasure to study and perform in recitals together with my pianist Peter Nilsson.

I explicitly chose to combine different genres: R. Strauss and A. Berg together with operetta composer R. Stolz and G.Verdi, V. Bellini together with F.P. Tosti.

The booklet contains interesting information about the composer; songtexts are both shown in their original language and translated in English. The pictures show one of my most beloved places near my hometown, The North Sea beach. When I have new repertoire to study I always go there!!!

The CD comes together with a recordable CD. Beause at that time it was my believe that it should be possible for everyone to copy different kinds of music and give it to friends or use it for private moments. At that time there was a big fuss about it because this was the first CD in The Netherlands combined with a recordable; and yes, we paid the rights for the recordable CD. !! I still think it is a good idea.
